Power

We have extensive experience in co-ordinating power deals; shaping the wholesale and retail power markets. At Àrgentil Capital Partners, we understand commercial and regulatory frameworks, as well as the network of operators within the region. Our specialised team has extensive industry knowledge in Independent Power Projects (IPP), gas to power, and other workable power solutions. We have been actively involved in structuring and financing power projects, ranging from the development of power generation and distribution assets, to the acquisition of existing assets. The ongoing power sector reforms in Nigeria initiated the unbundling of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria; establishing six generation companies, 11 distribution companies and the Transmission Company of Nigeria. The government targets the attraction of private investments in the successor companies, and upcoming independent power projects, to increase the nation’s power supply. Àrgentil Capital Partners has participated in the process of bidding for successor companies and the development of IPPs in financial co-ordination and financial advisory capacities.
